The Illusion Mehndi Company

IMC was founded by Priya Rajkumar, a self-taught mehndi artist who has been practicing mehndi art for over 20 years in the South Florida area. Hailing from an Indo-Caribbean background, she has become quite well-known in the community for her passion. 

Priya got her first bridal booking when she was just 13, just 2 years after she first picked up a henna cone. Since then, she has read, researched and practiced new trends, designs and styles to keep up to date. She has now worked with over 200 brides in the past 20 years and continues to learn more about henna every day. 

Priya finds inspiration in many things- she finds that working with each client can be different, as each person has their own aura and vibe. She will typically lean into that vibe and create a personalized design just for you. Otherwise, she's happy to re-create a beautiful design from a talented peer.
